I agree, and I like it better. Mine was silver and stood out like a sore...thing that stands out a lot. I prefer black equipment because it's *marginally* less obvious. And it does NOT have the slanted top of the MZ-S. As far as I know the MZ-5n is not a new camera but several years old. The MZ-5n was made for exposrt. Japan had the MZ-5 and the MZ-3. Now that the MZ-5 and MZ-3 are discontinued Japan will do with the MZ-5n like the rest of the world. In other words, this is a release of the MZ-5n on japanese market.
