Re: PAW: Southern Comfort
Wow, sounds like a lot more food than we had! Gotta love the southern tradition of using the smallest excuse for having a feast huh? This is especially true for barb-e-ques down in south Texas. We always make enough to feed the whole town, despite the fact that we have leftovers for the rest of the month. I'm sure you had one of your snakeskins with you, don't you always? ;) rg Cesar Matamoros II wrote: Robert, The shot reminded me of an assignment I was on a while ago. Anyhow, as we approached it the sight was amazing. I cannot recall how many long tables they had, but it was at least four. Each table had a pile about a foot high away from the edges of crawfish. And there was plenty of beer to wash it down with. I don't think I had a camera that night. I may have to look back and see if I did... RE: PAW: Southern Comfort
Robert, Most definitely must enjoy the southern hospitality. Maybe that is why I have hung around here so long... And did not have my reskinned cameras. This was before my LXen were 'snaked'. Yes, that may be hard to believe... Probably did not have a camera with me since it was just a party as we were finally heading out to test. Re: PAW: Southern Comfort
Yup, that was a potato that the hand was sneaking out. The potatoes and cauliflower were boiled first with the spices, then the shrimp was boiled. It was hot and spicy, and the perpetrator could not help but steal a morsel! rg frank theriault wrote: Robert, I ~love~ shooting at parties. It's hard not to go to one without shooting a couple of rolls. I find the camera is a real conversation starter for me. And, once everyone's ~ahem!~ inhibitions are lowered, the social barriers come down, and people turn into real hams. I've got hundreds and hundreds of party shots, but unfortunately only a few shots have made it beyond the contact stage. I've long been thinking that it would make an interesting show... BTW, I missed the hand on the right, sneaking a potatoe (is that what it is?) from the dish. My mother would have cracked my hand with a wooden spoon if she saw me doing that - and I'm not talking when I was a kid! cheers, frank The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds.
