Re: PESO - Digue Carnot
also, like the tracks at the bottom of the frame. for me, because the tracks are much darker than the rest of the frame, my eye (eyes, actually :) is forced to start at the bottom and work to the top. it is uncomfortable for me to look at it anyother way, whether this is you intention or not i do not know, but like how it leads my eye. russell
Re: PESO - Digue Carnot
i liked how in the bottom of the frame there is the rigidity of only vertical and horizontal lines, contrasted with the 'starburst' in an empty sky. neat photo russell

Re: PESO - Digue Carnot
When the page opens in my browser the tracks are cut off completely and I didn't realize they were there. After reading some posts I went back and found them. They distract my eyes. Cropping off just above the tracks would resolve this. Its a great picture and I wish I had subjects like this. The geometrical pattern of verticals is aesthetically pleasing. I think I'd clone out the small sign on the right -- but I can't explain why. Don Kenneth Waller wrote: Nicely executed, I like it. However it attracts me more without the foreground tracks. Don't like the sign. Otherwise, a striking shot. Jack --- "Ralf R. Nice shot ... I wonder if the railroad tracks are needed. It's a different pic with and without them ... more context with the tracks, more abstract without. Shel > [Original Message] > From: Ralf R.
