Nice work Shel. I like them both for the simple graphic nature & color. Both have the look of crafted images. Shel, I really like both of these. Especially the tonal range in the wider shot. Nice lens that. The barrel looks strangely flat, as if it's a piece of cardboard or something. The picture are nicely taken - well crafted, as someone said - and convey a sense of emptiness well. However, the station doesn't feel abandoned to me. Hi Bob, It's possible that I've said this before, but that K24/2.8 is one of my favorite lenses - it's certainly used a lot and, like the man on TV says, I "don't leave home without it." At some point I'd like to try an A24/2.8 - gotta check the Boz site and see if the formula is the same. The station has, indeed, fallen into disuse, although some time ago there was a dot.com office in the building. I grabbed an interior shot through a window which you can see here: http://home.earthlink.net/~pdml-pics/thruwindow.html. Funny thing is that, while walking back to the car, I thought about taking a few more shots to show the deteriorated areas, and then decided against doing so. Both pictures are very good. I would myself have cut off some foreground (again..) of the Station Platform as the interest is all in that building. But as it is now with its square format it has some reminescence of the old-fashioned twin eye pictures. The Barrel and Window could be a tad darker on my screen. That window is surrealistic. It would have been nice if you had a third picture of that window alone to make it a sequence.
