I agree. It is an interesting picture due, as you say, to the mast reflections. I'd have to simplify it by getting rid the couple bits of detached floating debris. This nest is built on a floating platform tethered to the bottom. The platform was put there specifically for grebes for breeding purposes. There are two nesting platforms in the park and they get used every year but apparently have never produced little grebes in the seven or eight years they've been erected. Eggs are laid but are pilfered (likely by gulls) before they can hatch.
