I think they were just patterns in the grass left over from mowing the
paddock.

Brian, I am thinking that I could loose the man made bright object 
between the trees. The colors are vivid and the scenery is lively. 
Really likable view here...

Beautiful lighting! I get your uncertainty about the foreground. Since it's so 
close to home, with the next great sky, I'd try one from beyond the weeds and 
lower down. The furrow lines (?) in the right center might provide sufficient 
strength to the foreground. Somewhat more woolly sky may, also, add.
We all appreciate the fact that it's never the same scene twice. :(

That's the truth.  This was taken a month or two ago and the furrows
have now gone.  :-(

I can visualize your suggestion about a lower view from beyond the
foreground grasses.  Unfortunately, there's a fence in the way.

Photography is a frustrating hobby!
