Yes, we're very fortunate to live in a beautiful place- an island about  on
the West Coast of Canada.   Took early retirement here about 2 years ago.
It's quite a visual adjustment moving from the sub Arctic to this.

Yes, it is a totally different climate, isn't it? I remember working  
in San Francisco in July when it was 65 degrees during the day and 40  
at night with constant light rain. Across the bay it was 80 in the  
daytime and 65 at night. I've heard that the warmest months in San  
Francisco are October and November. Is that true?

Actually, Peter, I don't live in San Francisco.  I live across the San
Francisco Bay, in what is affectionately called the East Bay Hills.  Often
a totally different climate.  FWIW, many of the homes in the East Bay Hills
- in the Oakland area especially - were built as summer cottages by San
Franciscans who wanted to get away from the oppressive summer fog in San
Francisco.

What I like:
The diagonal of the trees sloping down to the right.
The fog

What I would like to see bigger:
Extreme right there appears to be some trees, perhaps and some more
detail, but can't tell at this size
Tree detail in general, in both near and far trees.  It could be
there, but hard to see at this size.

My guess is that a bigger image would make me like it more - as it
stands, it feels a bit more like a thumbnail - a reference or a teaser
to see the real image.

Your feelings then shall have to remain mixed ;-))  I like the smaller
size, and, for me, that's part of the presentation.  When I make a print,
it will also be small ... I just like it that way.

Now, you say your feelings are mixed, which, to me, indicates that there
are things you like about the photo and things you don't care for. So, what
don't you like and what do you like ... if you'd care to elaborate.

I get the feeling that not very many people care this one - only two
comments, one which is somewhat  negative (yours) and the other positive. 
As for myself, I like it a lot, and enjoy the small size both as a change
from large pics and also because I think the scene lends itself to a
smaller size.  I can see it mounted and matted a very specific way, and
having to get up close to see it.  It reminds me of old time contact prints.
