RE: Paw Closed for the season

2007-02-12 Thread Tim Øsleby
The title made me think; no more paws from Dave for a while. Bummer.
While looking at the photo I realised I was wrong.

It did not give me much, besides this. Sorry.

Played hooky on Thursday. Wondered around parts of the Tent canal
systemafter a snow fall. Pretty deep snow and i forgot my snow pants,
so i shot a few from the road.

This one seems to fit the title.

K10D, 16-45 F4, proccessed in Lightroom Beta and saved for web.

Did this on the laptop , so it might be off a tad.

Comments welcome.

Title works! Okay to play hooky, but only if you feel guilty. ;-))
Pristine well exposed scene.

Re: Paw Closed for the season

2007-02-11 Thread Bruce Dayton
The one thing that is difficult in this shot is to get a sense of
perspective. Not knowing how high that chain is from the ground, I
can't really tell how deep the snow is. So seeing something that
would show the depth or seeing some of the sign on the chain that says
road closed or something would probably strengthen this shot for me.

Thanks Jack.

I'm finding with this camera, i dont need to over comp in snow. I used
AV mode and CW metering. Gives me good snow shots.

I still have to do +1.5 on my BW shots in snow.
