The idea is sound but really! The illumination might be uneven, just looking at it. At least my inventions have some *style* about them. On the plus side, the camera would float if dropped overboard... >> Just received this from the Oly list. What do you folks think? At >> ~$30.00 >> CDN I'd like to try one. DON'T BUY IT. We had a bunch of those inflatable ring flash adaptors that we paid $2 each for at a clearance when one of our suppliers bought another and ditched all the junk languishing in their warehouse. The thing is basically useless, has odd highlights and is nearly impossible to keep on the camera. Also, $30 is way way way too much. I felt bad selling them for $5. -Aaron - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. I´ve seen something similiar at the Photokina 99 (I think). It never made it to the shelves here in Germany. Its actually only directing the flash light from a classic flash into the "bulb". The backside is made of Al-covered foil (or something similiar). Not as professional like a ring-flash, but it might work ... RE: Ringflash
It is $25 CDN if you mention the webpage. They state it actually works, so I would expect you could return it if it doesn't work. Or is that not the way it works in Canada? I have to say, it looks like a piece of junk to me, Bill. YOu could probably rig up something yourself that would do the same thing. OTOH - you could apply $30.00 Canadian to a slot machine and get absolutely nothing back :) can you return it if it truly is awful? ann Bill Owens wrote: > > Just received this from the Oly list.
