Re: peso Veyron serendipity

2010-08-18 Thread Bruce Dayton
That seems odd. I have never had any issue with the K20 or any other Pentax
digital looking blurry when the image is actually in focus. Are you adjusting
the diopter correctly for your vision? That could cause the behavior you
describe.

I've been playing with autofocus lately, especially with the stock focusing
screen in my K20 where things always look a little blurry, even when they're
focused properly. With the 16-50 being so quiet, it can be hard to notice if
it actually focuses or not, so there have been a couple of times where I
forgot that the camera was on manual focus. I meant to get a picture of the
Veyron, but didn't notice the camera was misfocused. However when I looked at
what I got, I did a little cropping and ended up with what I think is a much
stronger picture.

I did try dialing in the diopter this afternoon.

I went and rechecked and now it seems OK. That's odd, I don't what the problem
was, probably the photographic equivalent of PEBKAC.

Thanks, once I figured out that the camera was set to manual focus, I did a
much better job of making sure that it was indeed focused.
