RE: April in Milwaukee

2007-04-11 Thread Tom C
Cool. I can never have enough snow.

In our area of Idaho it was in the mid-70's last week. Earlier this week in
the 30's with sleet all day yesterday and the previous night. Temps below
freezing at night.

A friend of mine is moving from Madison to Huntington Beach, California.
I'm sure he and his wife won't miss the weather.

RE: April in Milwaukee

2007-04-11 Thread Markus Maurer
Incredibly, we have more than 20 degrees in the next days and had a very
sunny easter weekend.
For photographic reason only (my calendar 2008 project) I would have liked
some more snow days in the city .
But I do like the coming sunny days for my Swiss mountain tours finally
starting next week!
Greetings
Markus

I don't know..15 years ago I moved to Phoenix and bought a photo studio.
After 14 months I missed snow and green grass, so I sold the studio and
moved back to WI. At least there will be green grass in Huntington
Beach.  ;>}

Re: April in Milwaukee

2007-04-11 Thread Paul Sorenson
I generally don't mind it either, but this stuff is that heavy, wet snow
that clogs snow blowers and if you try to shovel it, it's a heart attack
waiting to happen. ;>]

Looks pretty, though...the way it clings to the tree branches. Daytime
temps will be edging toward 50F by the weekend so I don't expect it to
last long.

I'm envious of you - I'd like to be going on those mountain tours.
Looking forward to seeing some more photos from them.
