Ages ago, I briefly had the opportunity to buy a Bugatti Type 57SC "Atlantic" Coupe. It was finished in a gorgeous wine-burgundy red color. (No, I didn't buy it. Although the asking price was within my means, the ability to maintain and own such a premium piece of automotive history was way out of my territory!!) I agree that it's probably a replica. Blowing up the hi-res version, I can see that the radiator cowling appears to be a curved piece of thin steel that is bolted to the framework. Could be a garage- engineered replica. Although it might also be an early, independent Indy roadster. Many of those were home-built one offs. Hi Jack, Thanks. At very slow shutter speeds (1/4 second here), only the center point of the arc remains sharp when you pan. It's an effect, and the execution is rather hit and miss.
