Hi all,

At the risk of wearing everyone out with GESOs and PESOs, I thought I'd post
some shots I grabbed this afternoon and evening. All but one of them are
sunsets, and one is a bw landscape.

http://www.flickriver.com/photos/walt_gilbert/sets/72157629222978388/

All shot with the K-x and A 50/1.7 -- comments and suggestions encouraged as
usual.

And, by all means, please let me know if I'm sharing too much. The weather has
turned beautiful the past couple of days, and I've been making up for time lost
during the winter months and much of last year.

Thanks!

Walt

Really like 5602-2,5613,5601 and 5591 the last one almost looks like a

Thank you, Jack.

That one was kind of poignant in that it was the view my mother looked
out at through her bedroom window. She had me my brother rearrange her
bedroom so she could look out at it from her bed last spring.

I thought the same thing about the horse shot, myself. Has a certain

Thank you, Frank!

I wasn't crazy about the color rendering at all. But, I liked the
horse's stance a lot -- almost posed-looking. So, I converted it to
black and white so that its stance was more essential to the image, and
thought it worked.

I was wondering if you could try processing IMGP5602-2 as if it had a red or
orange filter, or just turn down the luminance of the blues so that rather than
the sky being white, it came out darker. I think that would help set the trees
and roof off against the sky, and also do a better job of showing the clouds,
as they'd be white against dark, rather than white against white.
