Hi, Dom! PUG stands for Pentax Users Gallery. The gallery itself
resides here: http://www.pug.komkon.org/

The submission form (which is currently in limbo) _usually_ resides

unless of course you're referring to the Pentax Users Gallery.

RE: May PUG - Red Shirt

2008-04-15 Thread Anthony Farr
Yes, indeed, in Australia Peugeots are often called "Pugs". But what we
have here is a case of mistaken identity due to the very similar logos of
Peugeot <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Peugeot_logo.svg> and Holden
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Holden_logo.png> especially as in past
years the Holden logo included the whole body of the lion. The car pictured
is a 1980ish Holden Gemini, the local version of the Isuzu Gemini. Note
that the Holden lion is seated with a paw resting on a wheel against a red
field while the Peugeot lion is rampant on a blue field. These days they
are more distinctive but historically they were easily confused.

Anthony Farr
