The K20 is unavailable most places in the US. The K7 is still available
at the big online retailers. I haven't seen a Pentax camera in a brick
and mortar store in ages.

I used the A850 and the A900 for a while, and they are wonderful in almost all respects. The high-ISO performance is just so-so though, well beyond that of the Canon 5D MkII which I had in use for comparison. On the other hand, the A850/900 are designed and built better than the 5D MkII. I'm not kidding here, it happened and I still laugh at my friend for that.
