If you have Photoshop 6 (I don't know about earlier versions) it will
automatically prepare a website of images which you can just upload.

Maris

5.5 does that too.

Cool! I have 6.0 but had to install it on my PC, where my SCSI scanner
is not. I have yet to use 6.0 because of that. This is some impetus to
reconfig my newer computer, get the SCSI card in it, and start using it, as
intended originally, for all photographic type stuff. Thanks!

Anyone know if version 6.0 does it any *better* than 5.5? I'd really like
to be able to customize the HTML output a little.

Be sure to install the 6.01 upgrade, unless your CD install disk is already 6.01 as
mine was.

A number of bugs were fixed by the upgrade.

Photoshop 6 doesn't make web pages any better than 5.5. The lack of
customization of the web pages bugs me, too.

I like a little program called ImageENGine, available for free 30-day
trial at http://www.insyse.com/ It does a lot of things well, but does
it with less flash than other programs. I use it to batch-produce
thumbnails (lots of available options such as resizing, adding text,
sharpening, adding a border, etc.) or to make small sets of web pages.
It's also a good slideshow viewer and general image browser.

You can write a macro (Photoshop calls them Actions that will
batch process images down to thumbnails. This is how I make the
PUG thumbnails.
If you like, I can send you the action set that I use for the
PUG. It is only a few kb.
Jan van Wijc showed me this. He also wrote me a cool little
thing that will modify the names of the files so they can be
identified as thumbnails in the index page.
Thanks Jan!!!
For web pages, I find modifying a template in a text editor is
the simplest method of doing an image gallery if the pages are
to be all the same, with just an image and text switch.
