Yes those areas would be great on a train. Its sad we here, only have a 1/2 dozen or so tours like that. From the TV show, it looks like 3 times that or more are available in the US. Yes, I watched the show, loved it, and have some of the episodes on VHS. Some of my best travel experiences have been on trains. My favorites include The Rocky Mountaineer, from Vancouver to Banff and Calgary, The Glacier Express, from St Moritz to Zermatt, and the Crystal Panorama, from Montreaux to Interlaken.
