Getting back to my original PESO image, of course what drew me to i was the very fact that Georgia O'Keeffe had done nude self portraits. I jfound that quite surprising. I picked up a book of O'Keeffe's art from my used book pusher a few weeks ago. Gorgeous stuff. Her 1920's oils of cityscapes blow me away. I'd love to shoot with that esthetic. The author (Eldredge) also compares some of her work with Steiglitz (eg the shells) to reveal crossover influences. On Sat, Oct 22, 2016 at 11:18 AM, Daniel J. Re: PESO: Sexting in the last century
It's a shame email can't be edited. :) In fact the book author was analyzing O'Keeffe's intimate flower studies and comparing them to Weston's shells (not Steiglitz!), but I don't believe there is any other connection. O'Keeffe denied any intentional erotic aspects and stated that critics were applying their own preconceptions to her work. I need to read the text surrounding the images more. :) On Sat, Oct 22, 2016 at 11:32 AM, Bruce Walker wrote: > I picked up a book of O'Keeffe's art from my used book pusher a few > weeks ago.
