Thanks, for looking, Jack, and for your comment. Actually, I would not have done what you suggest. I have taken that image, and it can work very well, but that is not what I was after here. I wanted to portray action in its surroundings. I tried to focus on the subject's face, with her pleased expression, but I especially wanted to include the congestion of the area (through the car), the bystanders, and the sign with samples of the artist's work. I was reaching for a Manhattan street scene rather than a portrait of the artist at work or of the subject and here image in the work in progress. You may, however, be right in suggesting that there was a better shot that I should have attempted instead. We have a lot of street artists like that here. It amazes me that Angelina Jolie has time to sit for so many of them, and that so many artists sought out by so many stars for so long (Marilyn Monroe seems to have sat for a lot of them too) are still humble enough to bestow their talents for so little on mere tourists.
