Re: PESO--Chicago, late to the party
Rick, it is a shame that we missed an opportunity to meet and have a friendly conversation. The second shot is wonderful. I'd print it big if it were me who made it. RE: PESO--Chicago, late to the party
Thanks Bob (x2) and Christine! A couple of weeks ago I bought rubber lens hoods for my 28 and 50 mm lenses. They made these shots possible, because I was able to press them against the glass to eliminate reflections. Re: PESO--Chicago, late to the party
Those fun fog shots, Rick. Glad you liked the exhibit. Sorry we couldn't meet up. Next time for sure. Cheers, Christine - Original Message - From: "Rick Womer" To: "Pentax List" Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2010 8:03 PM Subject: PESO--Chicago, late to the party My wife and I spent a couple of days in Chicago last week. I have been there on business many times, but never recreationally. What a beautiful city! Bob and Lynn Sullivan met us at the DankHaus, and we spent a leisurely hour and a half absorbing the Augenblick exhibit. It is really wonderful, and makes the book "come alive". Friday evening, after dinner, my wife and I walked over to the John Hancock Building, whose upper reaches were in the clouds. Because of "zero visibility" they sold us tickets at half price, and we went up. Rick P.S. Eggleston sucks. A toddler with an Instamatic could have shot that crap. Rick, Great shots form the top of the Hancock. The clouds (or fog) really worked for you! Regards, Bob S.
