True, but from an Astro point of view you have:

Vulpecula
Ursa Major & Minor
Taurus
Pegasus
Lynx & Lupus
Leo & Leo Minor
Canis Major & Minor
Camelopoardis
& Aries to name a few.

Plus a whole lot of birds, reptiles & fish too.

Photographing that lot should keep you busy for a while.

Thatnks, Don.

I have two of the large, standard magnolia trees that bloom in early
spring, before the dogwoods. I have two other dwarf magnolias. One
loses most of its leaves in winter, then blooms in late spring, well
after the dogwoods. The other keeps all its leaves all winter long,
and then has occasional single blooms from late spring through early
fall. All are beautiful and quite different.

Thanks, Bruce and Ann.

Yes, Spring has definitely arrived in Central New Jersey, and this was
a lovely, warm weekend to enjoy it.

The position of this daffy and the magnolia bud allowed me to use
backgrounds that were much farther away, so it would be better blurred
out by the Macro lens.

Saturday morning I noticed that the leaves on the trees in my back
yard were starting to turn.  I though I'd take a trip to a nearby park
to see if I could catch a little Fall color.

That's what I found. very little fall color.  Only a few trees had
started to turn.  The weather was nice and it was a pleasant way to
spend an hour or so.

This is the same trip where I got the shot of the Heron that was
identified by the PDML bird experts.

A few more photos from the day are here.

Nicely observed and very nicely captured. Very tricky
exposure, I would think, to get the leaf nicely

A major issue for me is that the background is too distinct distracting.
