I don't let Patches drink my coffee.   When I see her going for my cup
I grab the cup or shoo her off (hence no photos of her drinking my
coffee in the 14 years we've shared).  On this occasion my cup was
empty and she was trying to reach the few drops at the bottom (which I
don't think she was able to get to).

That's fantastic.  I couldn't imagine a cat drinking coffee but it's either 
that or you've started drinking cat food soup.

We had a cat who was an avid tea drinker. She would go from person to person

Good catch.

My grandmother's dogs started off every day with a cup of coffee. They all 
lived to a ripe old age. They were a little nuts, but they had good long lives.

A guy I knew in college had half-a-dozen or so marijuana plants growing 
in a closet, and a 15 pound cat.  He came home from school one afternoon 
to find the closet door open, the plants trashed, and the cat lying in 
the floor, halfway to comatose, with a large leaf drooping from its 
chops.  The cat was never quite the same after that.
