ALas - no clear skies here last night. (NYC)

TOm, missed replying to your PESO on Mt. Hood --
forced to pick one, I take the first.  I like the
peeking through
the bushes look for sheer postcard style.  It was,
as you say, too bad
some clouds were not around - or that you could
have hung out until there 
were some.  Mt Hood is splendid, isnt it?

At the moment, it is persisting down as if water was going out of 
fashion.  Looks like it will be doing so for at least another 24hours. 
It did this the last time there was a serious Aurora outbreak, too.
