Re: Sleepy
Thanks, Jens. Your thoughts on future use are great. I hadn't thought that far ahead yet, but I can see what you mean. It's really a wonderfull photograph, Bruce. It has universal vaules, And don't loose it. Re: Sleepy
Very cute Bruce. I would probably have tried to tidy that blanket a smidge but that could have had disastrous consequences... Might have taken the photo from a foot or so lower angle as well. BUT, it's a great grab-shot worthy of a space in the photo collage on any family's wall. Re: Sleepy
Ok, I have calibrated the monitor again. It was very slightly off. I also found that I had put up the original uncorrected photo for the PAW. I have corrected for white balance and also lightened a bit as Paul suggested. So for those who care to see the changed one: http://www.daytonphoto.com/PAW/reunion2004_105.htm Don't forget that you may have to refresh so you don't see the old cached image! Bruce
Re: Sleepy
Paul, Nice to be talking about photography. I'll re-calibrate later tonight and then take another look at this. I'll certainly take a stab at your suggestions and see what I think. Thanks for looking. Bruce Wednesday, July 14, 2004, 8:55:20 PM, you wrote: PS> I love this shot. But i agree with Don's comment about warming it up a PS> bit. I would up the brightness a tad as well. Yes, it is a *very* cute moment. I agree with others' comments regarding the colour, though -- a bit too blue. I think the contrast could be better. But that's purely a comment on image quality. As a captured moment: Wonderful. ERN
Re: Sleepy
Thanks, Don. My monitor has been calibrated with a Spyder and it seems about right. I am going to re-calibrate tonight as it has been a month or two since last doing it. I'll let you know if it changes. Bruce Wednesday, July 14, 2004, 8:44:48 PM, you wrote: DS> Beautiful children and photo! DS> Looks a little "cool" on my monitor. I love this shot. But i agree with Don's comment about warming it up a bit. I would up the brightness a tad as well. If you have it in RAW, I'd go back and set the color temp about 300 degrees higher and up the exposure a bit as well. But it's a great capture. Fantastic image. Beautiful children and photo! Looks a little "cool" on my monitor. Maybe a touch more warmth would help the skin tones? Could just be the monitor, but I've tried to keep it true to color.
