Isn't it the same as the MZ-S?  Push the On-Off switch beyond the On position.

Just read that actually...  This ALSO turns on the light for the display
panel.

If you're using a A lens, look through the viewfinder and push the on/off
switch away from the camera.  Works the same way as the MZ-S

Don't even bother with visual confirmation, get yourself a good white or 
accurate neutral grey card (for use in sunlight) and balance off that, trust 
the force. 

I have white cards for work under hot lights that I use with my digicam and I 
can be virtually assured of colour consistency even between light sources if I 
balance off the same reference.
