I hate paying $20 for shipping, but I may have it shipped to my brother in Milwaukee ($7 shipping). I'll see him in 4 weeks. Jeff - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. I believe Henrys has one for $300 CDN. That seems steep. I'll check around. Based on what I've seen online - Ebay - it usually goes for around $135.00 USD - but I'm not sure how much you could get it for if you hunted some used stores in the area (Toronto) Cheers, Dave -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Jeff Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2002 1:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Vivitar Series I, 19-35. - Original Message - From: "David Chang-Sang" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, April 27, 2002 12:34 PM Subject: RE: Vivitar Series I, 19-35. > Jeff, > > I've been eyeing this same lens for about 6 months now at least :) > I've heard it's very good for the money What would be a good price? The windows are quartz. A few years ago the owners would let you just wander around the lift, but now its part of a structured tourist walk-through. This shot does show that the lens is pretty rectalinear and while flare can be a problem, it did not suffer from the backlighting of the windows. - MCC - - - - - - - - - - Mark Cassino Kalamazoo, MI [EMAIL PROTECTED] - - - - - - - - - - Photos: http://www.markcassino.com - - - - - - - - - - - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. RE: Vivitar Series I, 19-35.
Jeff, I've been eyeing this same lens for about 6 months now at least :) I've heard it's very good for the money (the manual focus version being better than the autofocus version apparently). HUGE filter size though (I think it's 77 or 72) but other than that.. very little vignetting from what I understand.
