Re: equipment issues this week
About the best thing I've found for covering the LCD on the back of the camera is that clear plastic packing tape like UPS sells. It's easily cut to the appropriate size shape; smooths out without bubbles; stays on good ... but when it's time to replace it, the residue from the glue cleans up fairly easily (just rub it with a fingertip and it balls up peels off). I bought one of those screen protectors when I got the K20D, and I'm much less satisfied with its performance than I was with the plain old packing tape I used on the *ist-D and K10D. I have a small imperfection in my K20D's LCD, it was annoying me. I feel much better about it now. Of course it also had my Raynox, some hybrid AAs, spare battery for my phone, checkbook and probably a couple other things in it. I'm guessing that it was about a $200 hit.
