Regarding newly announced Optio W60
A couple features I found interesting for those who care: * HDTV-like resolution videos: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]/30fps and [EMAIL PROTECTED]/30fps. * 36.4 integrated memory (uuh, well nothing ;) * Can sustain 2 hours at 4 meters deep in water. * 28-140mm equivallent lens which is quite nice: a true wide angle, 5X zoom :) :) * 2.5 screen, 230.000 pixels, 170° viewing horizontal and vertical. * Digital SR (huh marketing crap) * Face recognition blabla (marketing crap) * Accept both SD and SDHC cards of course. * 10 Mpix sensor (nobody cares I know ^^ ) * weight: 145g with battery and sd card. Seems all pretty nice considering the price (around 320 US$ MSRP) -- Thibault Massart aka Thibouille -- Photo: K10D,Z1,SuperA,KX,MX, P30t and KR-10x ;) ... Thinkpad: X23+UB,X60+UB Programing: D7 user (trying out D2007) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

One of the biggest sources of problems for many naive point-and-shoot users is focussing on the wrong part of the scene. Face recognition hels with that, as the AF circuitry can be piased to preferentially focus on faces. Nikon have taken this one step further in their latest PS bodies - the face recognition circuitry knows about eyes, too, and will delay taking the shot if the subject blinks. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
