Hi Kostas, no problem, can't blame you for keeping what appears to be a very good lens :) John -- Original Message --- From: Kostas Kavoussanakis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: pentax-discuss@pdml.net Sent: Fri, 7 Jan 2005 11:35:12 + (GMT) Subject: Re: SMC Pentax-F 35-135/3.5-4.5 > On Fri, 7 Jan 2005, John Whittingham wrote: > > > -- Original Message --- > > From: Kostas Kavoussanakis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Sent: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 20:54:53 +0000 (GMT) > > Subject: SMC Pentax-F 35-135/3.5-4.5 > > > > > I could just wait for it to arrive. It's just that, during Xmas, and for candid indoor shots of kiddies bombing about, I found its long end too short; most of my shots (off the top of my head) where above 50 as well, so... Kostas

I can't comment on the 35-135 but would you care to sell me the 24-90? :) John -- Original Message --- From: Kostas Kavoussanakis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: pentax-discuss@pdml.net Sent: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 20:54:53 + (GMT) Subject: SMC Pentax-F 35-135/3.5-4.5 > Hi, > > I could just wait for it to arrive. Re: SMC Pentax-F 35-135/3.5-4.5
I have one and am going to sell it. I'm in the opposite camp, my 24-90 is much sharper than the 25-135, and better built. Kostas Kavoussanakis wrote: Hi, I could just wait for it to arrive. RE: SMC Pentax-F 35-135/3.5-4.5
G'day Kostas. I have been using this lens on a SFXn for the last month. I have found it to be great for indoors with the popup flash or the AF400FTZ. Images are sharp. Focusing is quick. The only drawback is that is has a long minimum focus distance. But Macro is useful. Also, I don't use any filters on this lens. The images appear better without the UV or the 1B filter I have also used it on the ZX-L outdoors as a walk around lens. It works just as well outdoors as indoors. The lens is compact enough not to get hung up on obstacles or other people in the street. For me, this lens is a keeper. Hooroo.
