It also turned out that ultimately I didnt' need to use it ..

Just had to tell the printer I was using Epson enhanced matte and let 
the printer do the work... as I was using Double sided matte from Red 
river I chose


double sided matte in the paper menu.. that turned out to be wrong and 
was the reason the r2400 prints were washed out.  don't really ahve to 
mess with all the fancy stuff at all

printer rule?   The printing isn't bad , just different across printers 
- I can't tell the r220 that I'm using double sided matte, though
