Alternatively you could already be in London with an afternoon free,
read the Guardian article (...'from Friday until April 22nd..') and
discover that, even though the article was published on Friday the 15th,
it refers to 'next' Friday - and so poised to go see it, we are in fact

marvelous book, _The New York School: Photographs, 1936-1963_


i think i relate to the black and white better, but there is some color 
photography (including the photos in that article) where the tonality feels 
mysteriously black-and-whiteish

ack, again, i didn't see them at all because of how my browser is set up

pretty much any mass media organization these days has "over-monetized" 
their web pages, turning off lots of readers, and is chasing its tail trying 
to figure out what to do about it

York - I think he knew Leiter. It's collected in the recent(ish) book, American

Well I was living just a few blocks from that corner (and still do) in 
th early 60's but I hadn't taken up

photography quite yet..  so it's not mine :-)

But I did take this one at the same intersection last year
