On the origin of that quote: http://quoteinvestigator.com/2013/10/24/pun-pickpocket/ Apparently, A. Pope was not the first author of the quoted phrase, but just the person who popularized it. The wit of the stairs
There is a term in French that translates directly to "the wit of the stairs", which is when you come up with the perfect comment, after you have left and are walking down the stairs to the street. In that department, I've come up with an alternate title to a photo Paul posted a bit over a week ago of an attractive lass pouring him a scotch: "Barley legal". -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com (postbox on min4est) http://red4est.com/lrc -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
