Re: Re: Trading my PKA Dental Macro for a PKA 50/1.2?

2008-09-24 Thread Ketil Eidsaunet

The PKA dental macro is f4. The prize PKA 100mm macro is the f2.8.
That has a price in the same ballpark as the PKA 50mm f1.2.

I guess that the PKA dental macro could be interesting for collectors, because
of its rareness. But maybe it's easier to just sell it, and buy a PKA 50/1.2.
Thougths, anyone?

(And by the way, I don't care too much about dead dentists, I'm more interested
in photography. Hopefully, at least some of you out there agree)

Photography was indeed a hobby for him. He had a Yashica A 2 1/4 by 2
1/4 (as they called them then - now they're 6x6) tlr.

He bought me a used SP 500 around 10 years ago for $20, including an
f2.0 55mm and f3.5 200mm pre-set Takumar. It was my first Pentax (he
knew I lusted for a Spottie back in the early '70's, but I bought a
screwmount Praktica instead, at about 1/2 the price).

So other than the dentist thing, our fathers have something in common...

I caught that when you mentioned it.
I'm firmly convinced that dentists are percular folks, intense perfectionists.
I wonder how many on the list had/have dentists for dads.
My dad bought a surplus 2 1/4 by 3 1/4 Speed Graphic in Japan at the

And shot some pix of army life. (It helps to have x-ray developing chemicals.)

Trading my PKA Dental Macro for a PKA 50/1.2?

Hi!

I'm wondering if trading my PKA 100/4 dental macro for a PKA 50/1.2 could be a

My dental macro is in mint condition. I wonder what could I expect in

I think you would need to throw in a few more goodies with the macro to
make it worthwhile. I have both, and the macro was about half the price
of the 1.2. Plus, A1.2 was a good deal from a former list member, Robb
Studdert.

Did I mention my Dad's a dentist. He don't have no macro either.
