I've always wondered about the name of that war. From what I have read it was
anything but civil. GRIN!

Union, IL

2005-06-25 Thread Illinois Bill

Hey guys and gals,

Well, I just got back from a civil war re-enactment in Union, IL.
It's a great little train museum North and West of Chicago. I was, and
continue to be a participant in these events, rather than a
photographer, so did not have the chance to take any pictures.

However, I did notice that the number of civilians running around
with cameras (especially SLR and digitals) had increased at this event
a LOT since last year. I even noticed a few PENTAX cameras whilst I
was mucking about. My question is: Did anyone on the list attend this
event? I saw a chap who looked vaguely familiar with what looked like
an *ist or *istD in his hand. Another gentleman had what appeared to
be a black M or K series body with a Winder attached (there was no hand
grip on the Winder so I know it wasn't the Winder II).

P.S. If anyone of us WAS at the event, I'd love to see pictures. The
guy with the *ist-ish camera took quite a few that I KNOW I was in the
frame of!
