Re: What is a stereo adapter?
If the photographer is interested to use both of his eyes for focussing/zooming, this can be used for the purpose. Re: What is a stereo adapter?
Actually no. The Pentax stereo adapter is for taking stereo pictures (Two pictures on each 35mm frame which can be viewed with the stereo viewer after the film has been developed). You screw the stereo adapter to the lens filter ring and start shooting :-) Antti-Pekka At 16:23 12.8.2002 +0530, you wrote: If the photographer is interested to use both of his eyes for focussing/zooming, this can be used for the purpose. RE: What is a stereo adapter?
OK, that's the stereo viewer, but there is also a 52mm stereo adapter in this set which must go on the front of the camera?? -Original Message- From: Ayash Kanto Mukherjee [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 12 August 2002 11:53 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: What is a stereo adapter? The first is a 'splitter' that fits on your lens' filter threads, which puts two side-by-side images on each slide frame. When you get your slides back, slip them into the viewer to view '3-D' or stereoscopic [hence 'stereo'] images... Voila! keith whaley - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. There are two parts to the kit, the viewer which you have already figured out, the other part screws to the front of the lens and causes two images to be recorded on the film, slightly offset. Imagine the letter Y, the adapter takes the two images, separated by a short distance and places them side by side on the film. Notice I said film, rather than negative, as transparencies are the preferred medium, so that they can be viewed through the viewer. JM - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
