You can also download apps that let you do some basic adjustments, like +2 Ev

I know nothing about Android, but in the Photos app on an iPhone you can do
some of the same basic editing that can be done in Lightroom. Perhaps in the
corresponding app on Android that can also be done.

Re: photo editor on android phone - question

2018-11-22 Thread Igor PDML-StR

A couple more thoughts on the subject:

First, there are apps that are positioned as a "scanner" (or scanner
replacement). I've tried one of those ("CamScan", or something like that,
maybe CamScanner). I suspect their settings expect most of the background
being white, so they are tuned for that. That can be more suitable for the
task.

Also, there are relatively simple apps that allow changing brightness and
constrast, cropping, etc. The one that I've been using on my phone (mostly
for cropping and resizing) is called QuickPic. But as fas as I've heard
it's been purchased some 2 years ago by a company with a shady reputation.

So, I am not sure I can recommend it.
At least, I am not updating mine.

HTH,

Igor

bingo - Thanks - Bob, and Larry  - I think the key will simply be to
tell the phone it is photographing a document.. as opposed to a "picture"

don't know if he though of that..   I'll send him this.

It also puts a frame around what it thinks is the document, whoch you can
adjust, and when you take the snap it adjusts the geometry to produce a flat
image with the correct right angles.

It doesn't produce museum-grade reproductions of course, but there may be
something out there that does the same thing to the appropriate level of
quality. But if your friend has a MS account he could at least try Office Lens.
