Alas, I think if you have a yahoo account it insists on the blah blah -
the word-game discussion mailing list I'm on is rife with blah blah at 
the end - I always clip that when posting replies to the list - then it 
works

Sure the PDML is worth it.

No, I created a Yahoo account because my work account always includes
the blah, blah.  The Yahoo account worked for a couple of months.
Monday morning while at the airport the Yahoo email stopped posting to
the PDML.  It' still receiving the digest and sending a copy of
attempted postings to my work email.

So now I'm working with a gmail account.

Yeah the PDML is worth it.  ;-)
