[Pdns-users] Kim

2011-03-18 Thread kim Doff
Hello,

I am new with PowerDNS

I have PowerDNS With MySQL Backend And Poweradmin on Master.

Master/Slave have MySQL Database Replication With SSL Encryption.

I allow only localhost recursion.
allow-recursion=127.0.0.1/8

1. Do I need to configure TSIG and DNSSEC?

2. How can I Prevent DDoS Attacks?

CentOS 5.5 32 bits
Poweradmin 2.1.5
PowerDNS Authoritative Server 2.9.21

Thanks

[Pdns-users] PowerDNS does not respond to any query after DNSSEC

2011-07-20 Thread kim Doff
Hello,

Could you please help me?

My PowerDNS was working perfectly.

But I enabled DNSSEC and I followed this tutorial step by step.
http://jpmens.net/2011/01/13/powerdns-implements-dnssec/

Now, PowerDNS does not respond to any query

I did
Added gmysql-dnssec to pdns.conf
I rectified all Zones with pdnssec rectify-zone

Why doesn't PowerDNS rectify all zones by itself?

I have

powerAdmin 2.1.5
PowerDNS 3.0
Debian 6.0.2 64 bits

Thanks and have a nice day!

Even if you don't need IPv6, you need to have an IPv6 loopback or link-local
IP.

Is possible to have Master/Slave communications over Ips IPv4 for PowerDNS

Hello Bert,

We tested v2247
http://powerdnssec.org/downloads/pdns-3.0.20110722.2247.tar.gz

But it has the same bug "master=yes"
Also, It does not bind anymore after setting "master=no"

It was tested on VPS/OpenVZ / Debian 6.0.2 / 64 bits

Best Regards,

2011-07-23 Thread kim Doff
Hello Bert,

Thanks for your reply

I want to disable IPv6 completely

We tested v3.0.20110722.2247 with this config:

Is it ok?

#local-address=0.0.0.0
local-address=204.10.63.15,127.0.0.1
#local-ipv6=::1
#query-local-address6=::1
local-port=53

But it has the same bug "master=yes"
Also, It does not bind anymore after setting back "master=no"

It was tested on VPS/OpenVZ / Debian 6.0.2 / 64 bits

Any ideas?

Hello Stefan,

You mean this:

pdns.conf

#local-address=0.0.0.0
local-address=204.10.63.15,127.0.0.1
#local-ipv6=::1
*query-local-address6=*
local-port=53

Is it ok?

If so, I apologize for any misunderstanding ... I have been working a lot
with it.

[Pdns-users] DNSSEC rectify-zone setuid and setgid

2011-08-04 Thread kim Doff
Hello,

Could you help me?

1.

DNSSEC Master/Slave are working faultlessly.

I have PowerDNS v3, PowerAdmin 2.1.5 and MySQL Database Replication
With SSL Encryption.

Here is my question.

When I modify zone domain.com through PowerAdmin
by adding a subdomain like test.domain.com

Master/Slave are updated (SOA serial is updated)
but Master/Slave do not bind test.domain.com,

I have to rectify zone domain.com in Master
to bind test.domain.com in Master/Slave

# pdnssec rectify-zone domain.com

Is there a way to do it automatically through PowerDNS?

2.

When I enable setuid=pdns and setgid=pdns in pdns.conf,
Master/Slave are down.

Why?

Thanks,

Kim
