[pelaut] Sertifikasi Crewing Agent: ISO 9001 dan MLC 2006 Title 1.4
Salam Pelaut Indonesia. Pada tanggal 20 Agustus 2013 yang akan datang, Konvensi Buruh Maritim atau Maritime Labor Convention (ILO MLC 2006) akan berlaku resmi di seluruh dunia setelah pada tahun 2012 lalu MLC 2006 diratifikasi oleh 30 negara atau penguasa lebih 33% armada kapal di seluruh dunia. ABS Guidance Notes on the ILO MLC 2006 secara jelas menyatakan panduan metode untuk mencapai kepatuhan terhadap MLC 2006 khususnya Title.1.4, yang menyebutkan bahwa pemilik kapal harus memverifikasi usaha pengawakan agar memiliki dokumen kepatuhan yang relevan, dokumen ini bisa berupa salinan sertifikat standar internasional manajemen mutu seperti ISO 9001. Hal ini menjadi dasar bagi usaha pengawakan agar memenuhi sertifikasi ISO 9001. Statement yang sama juga disebutkan pada dokumen-dokumen yang dirilis oleh negara-negara yang meratifikasi MLC2006 seperti Polandia, Cyprus, Singapore, Malta, Yunani, dll.
