Job description
As a Chief Officer DPO you are responsible formanagement / safety / maintenance and day to day running of vessel. You report directly to the Master.
Your work:
- Ensure correct positioning of the ship, throughanchors or Dynamic Positioning.
- Execution of (dynamic) ballast operations.
- Attending DP trails and tracking DP checklists.
- The preparation of daily progress reports (DPR).
- Responsible for internal and external communication.
- A Nautical College degree (MBO/ HBO).
- Dutch Certificate of Competency and Seamans book.
- In possession of a valid certificate of competence in accordance with STCW 95.
- In possession of a valid dynamic positioning (DP) operator certificate unlimited.
- Certificate of Competence Chief Officer all ships.
- Valid STCW 95 Offshore Certificates.
- Fluent in English both verbal and in writing (preferably proven by a Marlins test).
- Leadership capabilities.
- Communication skills.
