May 10-12 Globalization & Social Justice Conference at Loyola Water Tower Campus
This spring Loyola University will host an international conference on Globalization and Social Justice. This will be a progressive conference embracing a variety of critical, and radical perspectives on globalization. Participants will explore such topics as the effects of neoliberal capitalism in its globalized form on inequality, injustice and environmental despoliation, how globalization has impacted race, gender and identity, and will also examine new forms of domination in relation to the growing role of computers and the internet in fostering greater inequality as well as social mobilization. Join a number of leading scholars from all over the world in exploring the many effects of globalization as well as alternative visions. There will be a number of plenary sessions and workshops.
