[Bug 2030601] mod_perl in EPEL9

2022-02-02 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2030601

I'll take the entire project. My FAS account is kni.

It looks like the failed test occurs only on EPEL 9 x86_64 architecture:
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kni/mod_perl-for-epel/build/3291634/

EPEL 8 is fine.

2.0.11 builds fine in EPEL 9. As a stop gap, I may build 2.0.11 then deal with
the 2.0.12 build failure later.
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/kni/mod_perl-for-epel/build/3291663/

Do you have any comment on the status of the 6 open bugs, dating back to 2017?
Have any been fixed? Are those worth looking into?

[Bug 2046802] perl: FTBFS in Fedora rawhide/f36

2022-02-02 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2046802

I temporarily turned off running those two test cases for ppc64le to be able to
build perl.

perl-5.34.0-484.fc36 has been successfully built.

I will continue to look for the cause of the error.

At the end all the fixes are patches we already have in Fedora. The only
difference is a better documentation for contributors.

Orphaning some packages (w3c-markup-validator fallout)

2022-02-02 Thread Nathanael D. Noblet
Hello,

I recently gave ownership of w3c-markup-validator to Sérgio Basto
which reminded me that there are a handful of perl packages that I
probably created/took a hand in as part of that. I haven't touched them
in as long as w3c-markup-validator so probably should also orphan them
as well. There are also some other packages like dspam that were great
at the time and I used to use them but they don't get much if any
development anymore and I don't run mail servers anymore.

The are as follows:

dspam
html401-dtds
perl-Config-General
perl-HTML-Encoding
perl-HTML-Tidy
perl-Mail-MBox-MessageParser
perl-Mail-MBox-MboxParser
perl-SGML-Parser-OpenSP
php-pecl-cairo
wkhtmltopdf

I will orphan them sometime next week if someone does want them. That
or retire but I don't know/remember what depends on them.

Sincerely,
--
Nathanael
