Hi Andy:

I am not able to run the program.  Actually, in order to eliminate 
variables, the host I am telnetting to is the local machine.  The program is 
running but no results.  I included the relevant part of the program here.

As specified in the Net::Telnet docs, your prompt should be a match string.
Try something like:-

prompt ='/c:.*?/' #untested on a full session but does not throw an error
when called as below

What is th perl executable that is being used?

How can I find out when I run a perl program, what is the executable being 
used?  There are a few of them in the bin directory -- a) perl.exe, b) 
Perl5.6.0.exe, c)wperl.exe.

question about copying a directory tree from one place to another

Hi:

Suppose I have a directory c:/mydir/dir_test11/dir_test12

   and c:/mydir/dir/dir_test21

I want to copy mydir and all its children to c:/mynewdir

I am using activestate perl on win2000.

I tried to use system(xcopy) but it did not work. I tried to use copydir but 
perl was giving me an error.  How can I do this task?
