You need to make perl a trusted app that has full access through the firewall. I don't have XP so I don't know the exact procedure. Hello Philip, The only thing you can do ist to deactivate the XP firewall for the time to use the ppm. Here in my office I have deactivated the XP firewall, because we are behind a hardware firewall. And as I know software firewalls are not secure enough to avoid hacking of the PC, only a good hardware firewall can do this. Sorry for the bad news.
