Chip,

This is really great to see! The whole continuations/regalloc thing is being 
addressed! It's great to see this kind of progress. Implementing this kind 
of register allocator could be tricky, for a number of reasons, but it's 
great that there is a direction now. OTOH, a minimally functional version of 
this architecture can be created by, as you say, just by register 
renumbering. Anything beyond that is premature optimization, at this point.
