Subject: [pestlist] Digets Mode

Hello all -

I'm am setting up digest capabilities for this list. Digest mode (and it is
optional by user) will save the emails that have come in over a certain period
and then mail them to you all at once. If the period is set to one day, all
emails coming in that day would be sent to you at one time at the end of the
day.

I can set the digest period and the send time. Digest period options are:
daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

If you think you'd like to use the digest mode, please let me know which period
you would prefer - I can only set it to one.

---

Hi,

We currently have an infestation of subterranean termites. This
occurred last year as well and after bringing in 5 extermination
companies, it seemed like each company gave us different
recommendations. Some wanted to do a full perimeter treatment but
even they were a bit hesitant on the efficiency because of the size of
our building (~ 195,000 sq ft) and some restrictions on drilling on
the front side of our building. Others said the perimeter treatment
would be a waste of money as it would have no affect on the ones that
were coming up pretty much in the middle of the building. We decided
to just do a spot treatment of the areas rather than a perimeter
treatment. But this year they not only came up in one of the same
locations but have now gotten into one of our galleries. It really
seems like our only options are to continue only spot treating and
dealing with the problem each year or trying the perimeter treatment
and hope it works, but it costs a lot of money.

Has anyone else dealt with subterranean termites in their facility?
Have you done perimeter treatments, either drilling and using
pesticide or the bait system? Any recommendations? Is this just a
problem we are going to have to treat each year as we find them?

Thanks,

Larissa Busch
