(PN) CFP Second Tutorial on the SARL Agent Programming Language
Second Tutorial on the SARL Agent Programming Language http://www.multiagent.fr/Conferences:TutorialSARL18 http://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/ant-18/#tutorial The 9th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (ANT-2018) http://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/ant-18/ May 08-11, 2018 Porto, Portugal Research on Agents and Multi-Agent Systems has matured during the last decade and many effective applications of this technology are now deployed. SARL aims at providing the fundamental abstractions for dealing with concurrency, distribution, interaction, decentralization, reactivity, autonomy and dynamic reconfiguration. These high-level features are now considered as the major requirements for an easy and practical implementation of modern complex software applications. We are convinced that the agent-oriented paradigm holds the keys to effectively meet this challenge. Considering the variety of existing approaches and meta-models in the field of agent-oriented engineering and more generally multi-agent systems, our approach remains as generic as possible and highly extensible to easily integrate new concepts and features. The SARL Tutorial 2018 provides introduction and explanation the modeling and implementation of multiagent systems with the SARL agent programming language. The tutorial session will be held in Porto, Portugal (08-11 May 2018) during the 9th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks, and Technologies (ANT 2018). The exact date will be provided into the ANT-28 program. Tutorial Outline The following points will be treated duing the tutorial. - Genesis of SARL. - Basic Concepts (Agent, Event, Space, Behavior) with simple examples. - Using Agent Communication Language with SARL - Doing simulation with SARL: traffic and drone simulation examples. - Major installation guidelines The duration of the tutorial is 1:30. (PN) [IFSMS16] CFP 3rd Int. Workshop on Information Fusion for Smart Mobility Solutions
CALL FOR PAPERS Third International Workshop on Information Fusion for Smart Mobility Solutions (IFSMS15) 19-22 September, 2016, London, United Kingdom. Third International Workshop on Information Fusion for Smart Mobility Solutions (IFSMS16) In conjunction with the 7th International Conference on Emerging Ubiquitous Systems and Pervasive Networks EUSPN 2016. http://www.multiagent.fr/Conferences:IFSMS16 The 3rd International Workshop on Information Fusion for Smart Mobility Solutions (IFSMS'16) provides an international forum on the latest technologies and research in the field of smart mobility solutions. We are living in a world where cars will soon all be very well-equipped with sensors such as GPS sensors, laser radars, infrared parking sensors, rear dead angle cameras, etc. Besides that, the infrastructure itself is likely to soon exploit technologies currently widely used, like smartphones, navigators and digital radio broadcast. Finally, there have been huge advances on traffic simulation, optimization, intensive computational techniques, distributed computing, data networks, wireless connectivity, and many others. If we combine all of this, there is the richest variety ever of information sources available for smart mobility solutions. The technology is out there, and now it is needed to take firm steps towards wisely combining the sources of information into smart applic ations that make roads safer and ensure a smooth mobility of individuals. IFSMS 2016 will be held in London, UK (19-22 September 2016) in conjunction with the 7th International Conference on Emerging Ubiquitous Systems and Pervasive Networks (EUSPN-2015) http://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/euspn-16/ - Scope - The aim of the proposed workshop is to enhance profitable discussions on what techniques, software, methodologies, transportation and traffic models, and in general, data fusion techniques are being explored for its use for traffic simulation and mobility management and other intelligent transportation system applications for smart mobility. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): - Agent-based modeling and simulation; - Data fusion and Smart Transportation; - Models of autonomous cars or flying vehicles/drones for smart transportation; - Social and emergent behavior in multi-agent systems applied to traffic and transport; - Implementation Issues (algorithmic issues, real-world computational demands, real-time constraints in the context of fusion systems for transportation infrastructures); - Environmental aware smart data fusion applications; - Advanced architectures for traffic simulation using data mining as real-world input; - Calibration and validation of agent-based models for traffic and transportation; - Role of multi-agent methodologies for complex systems; - Multi-modal routing of agents in a dynamic traffic environment. --- Important Dates --- - Submission deadline: June 30th, 2016 - Notification: July 7th, 2016 - Final date for camera-ready copy: July 20th, 2016 - Workshop: September 19th, 2016 â September 22nd, 2016 --- Workshop Chairs --- - Ansar-Ul-Haque YASAR (Hasselt University, Belgium) - Stephane GALLAND (Belfort-Montbeliard University of Technology, France) [[ Petri Nets World:]] [[ http://www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/TGI/PetriNets/ ]] [[ Mailing list FAQ:]] [[ http://www.informatik.uni-hamburg.de/TGI/PetriNets/pnml/faq.html ]] [[ Post messages/summary of replies:]] [[ petrinet@informatik.uni-hamburg.de ]]
(PN) SARL 0.3.0 is released
Title: SARL 0.3.0 is released SARL 0.3.0 is released http://www.sarl.io SARL is a general-purpose agent-oriented language. The language is platform- and architecture-independent. However, we provide a first set of tools to support its execution based on the new version 2.0 of the Janus Platform, but it can be linked with other existing agent platforms and frameworks. You're very welcome to give your feedback. Major Features Major programming concepts: agent, behavior, capacity, skill, event. Intruitive communication mechanism through events/messages. Intruitive and extensible syntax. Fully distributed programming approach, e.g. an agent reacts in parallel to the different messages it is receiving. Fully distributed run-time environment, with zero-configuration approach. Documentation Documentation of SARL Download Download the product for Mac-OS, Windows, or Linux Major Changes in Version 0.3.0 Stability improvement. Major bug fixes. Inclusion basic object-oriented programming elements: type definition, annotations, generic types, etc. Upgrade to Eclipse Xtext 2.8.4. Upgrade to Eclipse MARS. -- The SARL authors.
