My guess is that it will depend on the DM. I would start with the HDF5
viewer I have for Plex, in plexhdf5.c.

Hi,

Now that all the low-level functions are in next, I’d like to add proper 
support for an exodus viewer for Vector and DM, but I really don’t know where 
to start from.
Can anybody point me to where I should start looking at in the source code?
