Dear Sir/Madam, PgAgent is failing to start, giving an "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" on a Windows 2008 R2 server.
I can run pgagent no problems in DEBUG mode. I have un-installed and re-installed PgAgent multiple times. I have checked the service entry in the Registry and compared it with other windows servers I have it running successfully. If some someone could point me down the right path as to why the service is not starting it would be appreciated. Regards, Mark Street Support Instinct Systems
