http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-bugs/2005-02/msg00135.php I think it may have been a bit early to disable pthread python support (http://archives.postgresql.org/pgsql-hackers/2005-09/msg01136.php), as Python was working fine on buildfarm member platypus.
